What does heart health have to do with your oral hygiene? Well actually a lot.
Jenny, what the hell does heart health and oral health have to do with going off grid? Not a hell of a lot but it but keeping healthy is important to everyone and if you can do so while minimizing your amount of plasic waste then why not?
If you know me you will know that I would rather find a natural cure than listen to a doctor or dentist. Doctors and dentists alike are there to ‘treat’ you with either drugs or removing and filling your teeth. What they will NEVER tell you is that for almost everything, there is a nature cure. And yes, if you catch it in time, you can stop and reverse cavities.
I’m in my late 40’s and I dont have a single filling and in fact my teeth are in perfect health. Given the fact that I generally dont eat crap, I do try and take care of my teeth and when you are considering going off grid you may want to consider quitting the use of conventional toothpastes especially those that have added floride.
If you want to know more about the dangers of floride please read up on David Kennedy or look him up on Youtube. I will link a few links below. Dental hygiene is not only linked to heart health but a host of other conditions.

I stopped buying conventional toothpaste and use a few mish mash methods to keep my teeth clean. A daily ‘oil pulling’ session, brushing with a mixture baking soda, coconut oil and a drop or two of Frankincense essential oil and mouth rince of himalyan salt and baking soda. I often also swirl a mix of wheatgrass in a shot glass mixed with water and just swish it around my mouth for a minute or two. Some of these items may be hard to come by when off grid, but I swear by this. Please remember this guys, your entire body health depends on the health of your teeth and gums.
Below is a recipe from Dr. Axe and here is the full article where he highlights all the dangerous chemicals in conventional toothpaste. https://draxe.com/homemade-baking-soda-toothpaste/
