What does it mean to be healthy?
I recently came across a hospital/clinic name with the word “health” in it… it should be illegal to have the word HEALTH in any hospital or clinic name. You certainly arent healthy when you go into one nor when you are released. Its been long known that doctors only receive 19.6 hours of education in nutrition throughout their 4 years of medical school. That alone should make you think twice. Doctors dont make you healthy they simply give you drugs that masks the symptons, they dont cure you. “Go home eat more spinach and green leafy vegetables” said no doctor ever. The only way to properly heal your body and keep it healthy is by controlling what you put in it.
When I think of health or what it entails to be healthy I think of physical and emotional health. To be healthy means that my body is functioning optimally. For the body to function optimally it needs optimum nutrition. Our bodies require nutrients and vitamins, fats (healthy fats) and carbohydrates in order to function and for the immune system to fight off the bad guys. If you eat a well balanced diet avoid processed and fatty foods ie junk food, (eat a whole whole plant based diet) exercise daily, avoid stress, get enough sleep then you will healthy. Health is related to food intake, and intake of factors around you such as stressful situations, toxic relationships, and poluted air.
My answer to living a healthy life is living a simple life, away from the chaos, away from negative people, eating organic food and daily exercise. The place that can should be named “advanced health” is a organic green grocer. That is where you acquire advanced health not by supporting the pharmaceutical monopoly.
Empower yourself with knowledge and you will soon know more about nutrition than a doctor.
